Resistance 2 | Sony

“Groundbreaking realization: this is more than just marketing, this is Nathan Hale's story...”

Playstation's Resistance blasted its way to becoming one of the most popular first-person shooter games, with a passionate audience eager to learn more about the next installation. We satisfied those fans by ushering them into an alternate, dystopian version of America in the 1950s, a world where mutation and violent death were a daily threat. Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) asked players to choose which Resistance 2 characters would undergo the next round of human experimentation, discovering along the way both the origin story of the game's hero, Nathan Hale, and clues to key characters in the sequel, Resistance 2. Gamers participated in the grisly, immersive fun by voting online and steering the experience to their macabre whims, like an alternate-reality TV show/choose your own adventure gone horribly wrong. The resulting 27 short films gave a whole new meaning to the term "viral video."
